Kim and I just got back from Oregon on Monday. It was a great trip! Kim saw the west coast for the first time, and I hadn’t been in almost 7 years! I’ll be posting a gallery soon with some of the sights and family. I didn’t take the pictures here, but we have some good ones too.

We flew into Portland early (1:30 am PST) and drove two hours to Warrenton, OR. Which is close to Astoria. Astoria is on the coast, and was the location for the Goonies, Free Willy, and Kindergarten Cop!

Kim got to meet my Grandparents, who absolutely loved her! We also got to see uncles and an aunt that I wasn’t sure we would see. The chicken enchiladas we made for dinner one night were a big hit. We spent most of the days relaxing and visiting. Some of the time was spent helping my Grandparents pack up their house (they’re moving to Portland soon). We also did some sight seeing at the local beach and Cannon Beach (a larger one further south). I even got pulled over by the Seaside PD :O

Anyway, there are lots of fun stories to tell, and you might get to hear them if you’re lucky

It’s been far too long, but I decided to do a quick post before Kim and I fly off to Portland, OR to visit my grandparents. I have a lot of stuff to post about when we get back, including a certain tag.
First of all, here are some strips from the last few weeks that I’ve particularly enjoyed:

Two Get Fuzzy and one Pearls Before Swine, respectively.
Kim and I had a great Valentine’s Day (even though we didn’t see each other on the 14th). We love each other every day of the year, so we celebrated twice, Monday and Friday. The Bonefish and Eva’s were both spectacular. Great company doesn’t hurt!
Tomorrow Kim and I fly out to the beautiful Oregon coast, courtesy of JetBlue. I hope we’re not waiting on the plane for hours… I’m really looking forward to it; I haven’t been to the West Coast in almost seven years! Everyone say goodbye to Kim, you might have to come out west to visit her from now on!

I finally got the pictures from Georgia up. The total came to 122! Check them out here!
On the left is one of the photos of a very memorable event, my first meal at Waffle House! Thanks to Kim for insisting on capturing this event with photographs
I also described the various pictures so you know what you’re looking at.
(All old galleries, etc. are archived)

I survived my trip down south! Kim and I got back a week and a half ago, and we’ve been busy since then. I was pleasantly surprised how pretty it was down there. I’ll add it to the list of regions I like more than New York
Kim’s family seemed to like me and everyone treated me really well. The food was fantastic! Like… Beer Butt Chicken! I got a chance to drive a Jeep, which I like a lot, but the gas mileage is a little too low for my standards. I’ll be posting a bunch of pictures later today or tomorrow.

Kim and I had our first Christmas together this season. I’ve been looking forward to that for a long time. She got me a hilarious T-shirt, three art prints (my favorite gift this year), and a cool mug that doesn’t condense! I even got some presents from her family down there, which I wasn’t expecting.

I’ll save the big wedding news for Kim to post about, but we also registered at Target on Sunday. We had soooo much fun with the scanner and picking stuff out. Now we’re working on finding china and silver.
Classes start a week from today, but it’s my LAST SEMESTER! I’m finishing up my resume and I’ll be sending applications out to organizations soon. Exciting times…

Wish me luck

Kim and I are headed down to Georgia Wednesday morning thanks to Anne and the ‘Sub. More thanks to Rick I suppose for buying the tickets.
I’ll finally get to meet all of the Schreiman’s! Now that I’ve viewed the required film for experiencing a Schreiman Christmas, I think I’m all set.
A lot’s been going on lately, I’ll have to post some pictures after our trip. So for now…
STEAMROLLER!
