Here’s some recent Dilbert strips that I really liked:

Ah… So funny :)

In other news… I know when I’m coming home! Kim is going down to D.C. to work on the Marriage Quilt at my aunt’s house. (She has a fancy quilting machine.) Kim’s driving down on the 24th, and I’ll fly into D.C. that morning. Then on the 26th we’re both driving back to Syracuse together!

A Long Awaited Post

Well, this is silly. I’ve had our outdated date on my blog for far too long. Kim and I are getting married on Sept. 29th, and you would know that if you’ve been visiting our really cool wedding website.

So yes, Kim and I are very excited about 9/29/07!

Kiss

Kim did an amazing job on the invitations! I’ve heard and seen amazing things, and I’m sure everyone who’s lucky enough to get one will love them too. The food and cake has been finalized, and it’s going to be fantastic!

The final thing as far as wedding planning goes is the logistics and equipment for the reception. So don’t be shy about offering us (especially Kim) your help all you wonderful friends you!

SunflowerKim and I officially set a wedding date! We decided last weekend and we’re now in full scale wedding planning mode…

I made a website for wedding information and other fun things related to our wedding. Check it out here!

So far we’ve been busy working on invitations and guest list editing. Things are coming along amazingly; it’s been great watching everything fall together.

Manly Weekend and an Update

April 17th, 2007 -- Posted in Cool!, Insight on Dan!, Kim, Strips | No Comments »

Last weekend a dozen or so guys from Cru went on the annual Men’s Retreat. Usual activities include shooting potato cannons, football, eating a lot of meat, and blowing things up in the fire. Each year the explosions go up in intensity (this year was model rocket engines and aerosol cans). And we had 6 cannons instead of last year’s single cannon. It was an amazing weekend up in the Adirondacks. On a serious note, the speaker was really good. He was just an average guy with a lot of good advice gathered over the years.

The cannons look something like this and were 4-7 feet long:

Potato Cannon

As a fan of good music and Get Fuzzy, these are hilarious:

Get Fuzzy 4/10/07

Get Fuzzy 4/11/07

Get Fuzzy 4/12/07

Get Fuzzy 4/14/07

That’s enough of that.

School’s winding down for me. I’ve been writing papers for what feels like forever. My 25-page history thesis is coming along. I keep reminding myself that these might be the last few weeks of school ever; unless I go to grad school…

I’m also in the process of working out an internship with World Vision. I’ve had two interviews and I’m currently doing some work for them so I can get a feel for it and so they can see if they like my work.

Kim’s getting a lot of work done on our marriage (sex) quilt and it’s going to be beautiful! We’re also coming long well on our table. It’s primed and we’re starting to work on the checkered top. We’ll post plenty of pictures when it’s done.

It’s been so long since I’ve posted that I don’t remember everything I wanted to say…

What a Weekend!

Kim and I attended a marriage conference this weekend. I was fantastic and exhausting! There was so much information hitting us that it was hard to absorb all of it. Thankfully we have a huge workbook to look at.

Weekend to Remember

Kim is running an awesome swap over at her site. I’m doing, and so should you! Assuming you’d have fun doing it, she doesn’t want any half-hearted participation :P

I have a new Random Link of the Week up. This one’s really cool. It’s another wallpaper site, but with a great Flash interface and even music to listen to while browsing. The production quality is outstanding! Anyway, check out Desktopography.

This article is really interesting. If you like reading about obsessive middle-aged men trying to get the best gas mileage possible.
