Decapitated Teddy Bears
Now this is funny, I want one!
(Currently working on SLI feature)
Tomorrow will be the two week anniversary of possibly the best day of my life. After two weeks of recovery, I’m feeling pretty good about my wisdom teeth extraction/adventure. I only ended up taking 3 codeine pills; the part of me that fears drugs was happy. My family and Kim did a great job taking care of me that day
There are some pictures of the event here.
Also, I’ve added a link to Andrew’s blog. To anyone else who has a blog that I’ve missed or don’t know about, email me!
The big thing I’ve been working on is an illusion based on a concept I got from someone else. I think it’s pretty cool, follow the directions and check it out! In recent news, on Sunday Anne, Kim and I went to check out their new apartment in Syracuse. It was really nice. The best part is that it was once a dance studio. It has the tiled floor and wall mirror, making it easier to get my (dancing) groove on. After that we went to check out the exterior of my new place for later this summer and next year. Then on to Wegmans for dinner and grocery shopping. For those who don’t know, Wegmans is the most magical (grocery shopping) place on earth. A couple of Reno 911! episodes later it was time for bed.Fire it Up
I guess it’s a day for photos. While looking for a companion picture for this post, I came up with this interesting stunt.
A big group of us went Contra dancing last night. It’s usually $6 to get in, but free if you bring a snack for the group. So I made a big batch of mint dark chocolate brownies from scratch for Kim and myself to get in. Then I dropped the glass baking pan on the floor. Yeah, and then I made another batch
At least I dropped them for a good reason; my fingers were burning. The really sad part is that I liked that baking pan a lot.
I think next time I’ll try making them without mint, and with hot pads.
The dance was great, I got 7 dances in, a record for me. Kim was able to come late, which was fantastic. Afterwards I took Kim home and went over to the Wrights to chill for a while. Much discussion on methods of killing cats ensued.
Listening to: “Taxman by The Beatles”
Well, I posted about my job yesterday, so today’s topic is taxation. I want to start by saying that I understand the purpose of taxes. Without money, our government would be unable to do much of anything. While this may be an improvement in some areas, other things are important (firefighters, policemen… but you know all of this already).
What annoys me are things like this: As a full time student, I am exempt from Social Security and Medicare payments. According to the government, however, I am only a full time student when I am currently enrolled in a full load of classes. So, during the summer, I can not eligible for this break. Unfortunately I earn most of my money during the summer, which helps me get through the semesters at school.
Well, that’s the end of my rant. It’s just painful to see the taxes spike up like that the week after classes get out.
