What a Weekend!

Kim and I attended a marriage conference this weekend. I was fantastic and exhausting! There was so much information hitting us that it was hard to absorb all of it. Thankfully we have a huge workbook to look at.

Kim is running an awesome swap over at her site. I’m doing, and so should you! Assuming you’d have fun doing it, she doesn’t want any half-hearted participation

I have a new Random Link of the Week up. This one’s really cool. It’s another wallpaper site, but with a great Flash interface and even music to listen to while browsing. The production quality is outstanding! Anyway, check out Desktopography.

This article is really interesting. If you like reading about obsessive middle-aged men trying to get the best gas mileage possible.

tagI’mit finally…

Well, I finally got around to doing this. I got tagged weeks ago.

So, six weird things about me:

I have an unnatural fear of germs. Therefore I wash my hands… a lot. It’s gotten better though. One of the reasons has to do with my second characteristic.
I have weird skin problems. In the winter I get skin irritations and rashes because of hard water and the dry air. It’s gross. Washing my hands less helps a little.
I love ice cream. The weird part is that I eat A LOT of ice cream if given the opportunity. I don’t usually eat an insane amount of food. It’s pretty much just ice cream. A serving for me is usually a quart or so.
I like to dance to Hey Ya! by Outkast… It’s pretty intense and it often scares people. Thankfully some people enjoy it
When I’m cleaning the house I actually like doing it. I get into this mood and feel sad if I don’t finish what I’m working on. The satisfaction of finishing a room or whatever is great and then I can just enjoy the cleanliness.
I love updating software. Even if it’s something I don’t use much I get excited when I see there’s a new patch, etc. This excitement is especially great if it’s one of my favorite programs.

So there’s some of the weird things about me. I’m sure there’s more… I’m just happy Kim can live with my weirdness

Oregon 2007

Kim and I just got back from Oregon on Monday. It was a great trip! Kim saw the west coast for the first time, and I hadn’t been in almost 7 years! I’ll be posting a gallery soon with some of the sights and family. I didn’t take the picture s here, but we have some good ones too.

We flew into Portland early (1:30 am PST) and drove two hours to Warrenton, OR. Which is close to Astoria. Astoria is on the coast, and was the location for the Goonies, Free Willy, and Kindergarten Cop!

Kim got to meet my Grandparents, who absolutely loved her! We also got to see uncles and an aunt that I wasn’t sure we would see. The chicken enchiladas we made for dinner one night were a big hit. We spent most of the days relaxing and visiting. Some of the time was spent helping my Grandparents pack up their house (they’re moving to Portland soon). We also did some sight seeing at the local beach and Cannon Beach (a larger one further south). I even got pulled over by the Seaside PD :O
