Dan & Kim's Georgian Christmas! ~ December 20th-28th 2006

Our trip to Georgia was our first big trip together, and my first time in that great state! We had a blast, and it was great to meet Kim's family down there. Spending Christmas with Kim was the best part of the trip for me. Other highlights were the fantastic food, the Georgia Aquarium, and hanging out with family and friends. You can read a bit more about the trip here.

The pictures are in chronological order. They start with our first night there, at Kim's Grandma's house. Catie threw us a surprise party to celebrate our engagement. I got to meet everyone on the first night. It was a lot like shock therapy, but it was worth it, and I knew everyone for later visits.

Next we have some tree decorating pictures. Rick waited for us to decorate, and that was a lot of fun. I only broke one light bulb... After that was my first experience at Waffle House with Kim, Rick and Kim's uncle, Carey.

After the mouth-watering breakfast pictures, we have Christmas morning! I guess we didn't take very many pictures, but I already posted about my wonderful presents from Kim! Rick's present to me was the trip down there, which was more than enough, and very generous.

A couple days after Christmas, Kim and I went down to Atlanta with John Simpson and some of his family. (He also gave me a bunch of records to take back home!) The big event was the Georgia Aquarium, but we also got to check out Kim's brick in Centennial Park, where the '96 Olympics were held. The aquarium was AMAZING! We saw all kinds of cool stuff, as you can see in the pictures. I especially liked the Octopus and the penguins. I think Kim liked touching the shrimp in the petting area (if that's the appropriate name). :P

To sum it up, just a few pictures we took around the house and visiting Carey and Judy, with their boys Danny and Donny.

Enjoy the pictures!
